HA:TFELT Details Her Rebellion Following Her Dad’s Scandal—Which Included “Meeting Up With Many Men”
HA:TFELT (formerly Wonder Girls member Yeeun) recently opened up about her past and the struggles she faced following a family-related controversy.
On the most recent episode of Love Master Season 2, the former girl group member featured as a guest on the show, where she discussed a variety of different topics. And while she previously made headlines for her dating history, the talented singer’s recent confession has started to garner heavy attention.
It was during her time on the variety program that HA:TFELT discussed the realities she faced after her father was accused of fraud and sexual assault—for the first time ever on a broadcast.
He came to me and apologized while on his knees. So I tried to understand him and his perspective as a fellow human being. However, it became difficult once the situation became publicized. I couldn’t help but wonder if he was using me.

The singer continued by sharing that once the controversy exploded, she had a hard time coping with the situation—and she turned to “alcohol, smoking, and men.”
I lived however I wanted because of it. I began to smoke cigarettes, I drank way too much alcohol, and I began to meet up with many men.

Due to her sudden decline of her mental well-being, her agency at the time made sure to get her the help she needed, for which she received therapy for over a year.
Previously, HA:TFELT made headlines back in 2018 after her and her pastor father were sued for fraud. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that her father had scammed members of his church for several years, under the pretense of an entertainment business. He was also accused of alleged sexual assault.
It was later revealed that the singer’s father had embezzled a total of ₩20.0 billion KRW (about $17.0 million USD) from approximately 150 people. He had allegedly used HA:TFELT’s fame and name in an effort to scam his church goers. And while the singer hasn’t had a relationship with her father since she was 12-years-old and had no part in the scandal, she was ordered to repay his debt following his scandal.
Following the investigation, HA:TFELT’s father was sentenced to 6 years in prison on charges of fraud and sexual assault while the singer was cleared of all the charges.
