Did HYBE Ban Manon’s Name From KATSEYE’s Weverse? — Viral Claim Spreads Panic

But is it the truth?

The lack of clarity around KATSEYE member Manon‘s sudden hiatus from group activities has left fans in complete disarray. As a result, many speculations related to her departure have quickly gained pace on social media.

Recently, one such claim went viral on X (formerly Twitter). In the now-deleted post, a user claimed that Manon’s name had been banned from KATSEYE’s Weverse community. The OP (original poster) also mentioned that the same thing had happened to Danielle after she was expelled from NewJeans. The post quickly garnered attention, sparking fears about Manon’s future as a KATSEYE member.

The panic spread quickly, but some fans came to the rescue soon after. They debunked this claim by pointing out that Weverse has a policy not to let users put any idol’s name in their username. Many posted screenshots of getting the same warning message saying they were using a “banned word” when they put other active HYBE idols’ names in the username box.

Though the speculations about Manon’s return to the group are not showing signs of slowing down anytime soon, fans are still keeping a positive outlook toward the situation.

However, the activities of other members in the past few days have ignited some heated debates online with respect to Manon’s situation.
