HYBE’s Rookie Idol Gets Bodyshamed Days After Getting Praised For Visuals

A rookie HYBE idol was recently targeted with unsavory comments about his body.

The idol in question is Keonho from CORTIS, the latest boy group launched by BIGHIT MUSIC.

The group recently released their first song, “GO!” on August 11, midnight KST. But even before this release, Keonho had garnered significant interest as netizens were left swooning over his visuals.

Born in 2009 and the group’s youngest, he drew attention for his sharp features and balanced proportions, with many calling him the “visual center” of the group. Comparisons with established visual icons such as actor Kim Jihoon and ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo were also rampant.

However, after the release of the “GO!” music video, Keonho has been getting malicious comments about his height. In a viral post on Nate Pann, a user posted multiple screenshots of the member from the music video, highlighting that he was much shorter than his fellow members. The OP (original poster) claimed that Keonho was 170 cm tall and mocked him remarking that he was handsome only down to his face.

Though BIGHIT MUSIC has not revealed the physical measurements of any of the CORTIS members, the claim has gone viral, with the aforementioned post garnering over 78,000 views at the time of writing. The comments were mostly unforgiving, though some attempted to make their blows softer.
