The former ILUV member made headlines earlier this year by revealing shocking allegations about her time in the girl group. She revealed in a YouTube video that she was severely bullied and sexually harassed by her former members. She also told her viewers that she was forced to watch sexually explicit videos, which traumatized her. She continued to expose the situation by disclosing that when she reached out to her label for help, they ignored her pleas. It was also revealed that the former girl group member made two suicide attempts on her life.

After her YouTube video went live, Shin Minah made instant headlines while the rest of the ILUV members received scrutiny. It was not long after her accusations, however, that her former label responded. They released a statement stating that all her claims were fabricated and that they would be taking legal action due to the damage their reputation faced. They also added that the rest of the members were shocked and blindsided by the allegations. The label went even further by accusing Shin Minah of having mythomania, which is a pathological tendency to exaggerate or tell lies.
