Impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol Ridiculed For Dozing Off During Screening Event

Impeached Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has received scathing criticism after photos of him dozing off during a controversial movie screening surfaced online.

The film, titled Korean Election Fraud, God’s Will?, was screening at a theater in Dongdaemun District, where Yoon made his first public appearance since his impeachment.
Yoon was seated between TV personality Lee Young Don and Jeon Han Gil, a former history lecturer. But at some point during the movie, he was caught on camera with his eyes closed and his head drooping forward.

The image immediately went viral across online communities, drawing scathing reactions from netizens.

- “Is he a newborn or what?”
- “Did he have a drink the day before?”
- “Ugh.”
- “Fell asleep during the trial, fell asleep during the movie too. What were you like during martial law?”
The movie itself has been criticized as a right-wing propaganda piece, consisting entirely of debunked claims about China manipulating Korean voting ballots. It also attempted to justify Yoon’s December 3 martial law declaration.

Yoon attending the screening just 13 days before the June 3 presidential election has also been slammed as political manipulation of his emotionally charged voter base.
After the screening, Yoon greeted other attendees warmly but left a vague remark about the movie, telling reporters, “It was good.”
