IU Names D.O.’s “That’s Okay” as the First Song That Made Her Cry in 10 Years

IU’s praise made D.O.’s “That’s Okay” top the charts again almost a year after its release.

In a recent interview on KBS’s Jung Eunji’s Music Plaza, IU made a much-anticipated appearance where she showered EXO D.O.‘s song, “That’s Okay” with praise and explained why she recommends that song to anyone who has a hard time sleeping.

When asked about which song she would recommend to anyone who can’t fall asleep, IU named D.O.’s “That’s Okay” and explained just how much that song means to her.

She shared that that song was the first song to make her cry in 10 years.

After my trainee days, I never felt anything, felt comforted, or cried because of a song. It’s been over 10 years. But when I listen to D.O.’s ‘That’s Okay’, I cry. That’s how comforting it is.

For that reason, she strongly recommended that fans try listening to that song when trying to fall asleep.

If you put that song on repeat and put it on a low volume, you’ll be able to fall asleep.

When asked about when she needs the most comfort, IU replied, “On nights when work doesn’t go as planned or when I miss someone.

Following her praise of D.O.’s “That’s Okay”, the song topped the charts once more almost 1 year after its release.

But this isn’t the first time IU fawned over D.O.’s song.

Soon after the song’s release last July, IU praised the song and even covered it herself.

The power of IU might have put D.O.’s “That’s Okay” back on the charts, but there’s no doubt that the song itself is good enough to steal the spotlight again.
