IU’s acting is moving even further than before!

It has recently been reported that singer-actress IU will be starring in Hirokazu Koreeda‘s upcoming film Broker (or Baby Box Broker)! She has truly been showing her acting skills in recent years with her K-Dramas Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, My Mister, Persona, and Hotel del Luna.

Hirokazu Koreeda is a legendary and award-winning Japanese director known for his movies Shoplifters, Nobody Knows, After the Storm, and Like Father, Like Son. He revealed that he had begun plans for Broker five years ago.

Song Kang Ho (of Parasite, The Host, etc.), Bae Doo Na (of Kingdom, Sense8, etc.), and Kang Dong Won (of Peninsula, The Priests, etc.) will also be starring in the film.

A release date has not been set, but it is supposed to begin filming this year.
