IVE Fans Demand Apology From "The Fact Music Awards" After The Group Was Cut Off Mid-Performance

Popular rookie group IVE stunned with their appearance at the 2022 Fact Music Awards from the moment they stepped on the red carpet. When it came time for their performance, they were stopped halfway through their second song, leading fans to demand an apology.

Viewers watching the 2022 Fact Music Awards, also known as the 2022 TMAs, live from home witnessed a stellar performance from IVE that started with a dance solo from members Yujin and Gaeul.

The group treated fans to a performance of two of their hit songs, “Love Dive” and “After LIKE.”

The performance went off without a hitch, but fans and viewers attending the award ceremony witnessed a different story.

While the group was in the middle of singing “After LIKE,” a staff member rushed on stage and cut off the performance.

As the members walked off stage, the lights were shut off while they waved to fans. Videos of the moment circulated, leading DIVEs (IVE fans) to question what happened.

Other angles of the interruption filmed from the venue showed the members not looking overly surprised at the interruption. Some fans theorized it was planned to air their pre-recorded performance all along, so they questioned why it was necessary to have them perform live if the award show wasn’t going to allow them to complete both songs.

Twitter users noted that TREASURE‘s performance was also cut short, with the lights being turned off while they performed.

Fans demand an apology from the award show for not allowing the group to complete their performance despite taking time in their schedule to attend.

IVE didn’t let the interruption faze them, and the group went on to win Artist of the Year and Rookie of the Year, solidifying their superstar rookie status.
