IZ*ONE Breaks Record Previously Held By TWICE
IZ*ONE has set record after record with their latest album, “HEART*IZ”.
Recently, it was announced that the 12-member girl group has another record to their name – dethroning none other than the “final boss of girl groups” themselves, TWICE.
IZ*ONE’s management agency, Off The Record Entertainment, quoted data from the Hanteo Chart, stating that “Heart*IZ” sold a whooping 132,109 copies during their first week of sales.
This stunning number edges out the previous record was set by TWICE’s studio album “twicetagram” in 2017. “twicestagram” held the record with first week sales of 129,691 copies.
IZ*ONE has been making waves since their debut album, COLOR*IZ, which sold 80,822 copies in the first week of its sales last year. This allowed the girl group to scoop up numerous rookie awards.
Their latest single, “Violeta”, has garnered over 17 million views to this day.
Congratulations to the girls!
