Scandalous “BFF” Actresses Reveal How Their Iconic Friendship Began In The First Place

The friendship between actresses Jeon Jong Seo (or Jun Jong Seo) and Han So Hee was already considered iconic as two baddies being besties—but after the two were embroiled in a bombshell dating scandal involving actor Ryu Jun Yeol and his ex-girlfriend, Girl’s Day‘s Hyeri, their friendship became even more headline-grabbing.

So how did the two first meet?

In her latest interview with News1, Jeon Jong Seo revealed that their unbreakable friendship began with an unexpected Instagram direct message.

When asked about working with Han So Hee on the film Project Y, Jeon Jong Seo said, “To me, So Hee was an actor friend who suddenly showed up in my life. We got to know each other out of the blue, and I never imagined we’d end up working on a project together.”

She’s surprisingly easygoing and very professional. While acting together, what I felt most was that the shoot was physically really tough, but because we were both going through the same hardships, having someone like that quietly standing by my side naturally became a source of strength.

“Easygoing” is right, as it was Han So Hee who first slid into Jeon Jong Seo’s DMs. Jeon Jong Seo recalled, “She DMed me and that’s how we started talking. I vaguely remember her just messaging me like, ‘Hi Jong Seo.”

For some reason, Jeon Jong Seo was drawn to respond. And since then, the two have been an unstoppable duo!

I used to get DMs from female actors fairly often, but So Hee was the first one I replied to. The conversation just naturally continued, and I think we met for the first time at my place. Since we couldn’t really meet up outside, we kept it private.

When you work and act in this industry for a long time, there are things you have to explain in detail to friends who have ordinary jobs outside of this field. But with So Hee, as a fellow actor, there were things that didn’t need explaining at all. There was an unspoken understanding, and that’s something we could really relate to.
