K-Drama Actress Goes Public With Her Relationship After Boyfriend Denies Reports Of A Wedding

The media is abuzz with speculations about actor Ha Jung Woo‘s wedding.

On February 4, KST, multiple reports claimed that the actor was recently seen checking out wedding venues across Seoul. According to wedding industry insiders, the actor plans to hold the ceremony in July this year.

Ha Jung Woo’s father, veteran actor Kim Yong Gun, also confirmed the news over a phone call with reporters. However, the actor himself partly denied the reports, clarifying that he had only mentioned he would like to get married in the summer, if it happened at all. Ha Jung Woo added that the speculations of a July wedding might have arisen from his father’s statements to the press, which he claims were a misunderstanding.

Soon after these reports, Dispatch published a report revealing the identity of Ha Jung Woo’s girlfriend. It claimed that he was dating actress Cha Jung Won and that the two had plans of marriage, though nothing had been finalized. This report went against the initial media claims that Ha was dating a non-celebrity.

Shortly after, Cha Jung Won’s agency confirmed the news. However, they were cautious about the marriage rumors, stating that nothing had been decided yet.

Meanwhile, debuted in 2002 and eventually gained prominence through the movie Forgiven Man and the K-Drama Lovers In Prague. Aside from his extensive filmography as an actor, he is also active behind the camera as a director, helming movies such as Lobby and The People Upstairs.

Cha Jung Won, on the other hand, made her acting debut in 2012 with the movie Horror Stories. Her best-known projects include She Was Pretty, While You Were Sleeping, and Special Labor Inspector Jo.
