K-Drama Actress Reveals How She Maintains Her 48kg Figure At 44-Years-Old
Korean actress Son Tae Young, known for her elegance on and off screen, is turning heads once again — not with a new drama, but with her ageless figure and the secrets behind it.
In a new video uploaded to her YouTube channel “Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae Young” on August 2, the 44-year-old actress shared her honest daily eating routine, which helps her maintain her 48kg (approximately 106 lbs) figure — all without strict dieting.

Despite enjoying a bowl of janchi guksu (Korean noodles) with her daughter during the day, Son keeps her dinners light with just a protein shake and a boiled egg.
“I’m not on a diet. But when I started eating less at night, I realized my stomach felt much better. It became a habit, and now I don’t need to eat much in the evenings. On weekends, though, I eat whatever I crave.”

Her mornings start with a 14-hour fast, followed by a simple and nutritious bowl of Greek yogurt topped with blueberries and walnuts. After a glass of water and sending her kids off, she sits down to her calm, clean breakfast.

Lunch is where she lets go — from marinated galbi (Korean short ribs) one day to pancakes the next, she doesn’t shy away from enjoying hearty meals midday. But come evening, it’s always back to her protein shake and boiled egg combo.

Son Tae Young, who married fellow actor Kwon Sang Woo in 2008, lives in the U.S. with their son and daughter to support their education. While juggling motherhood and life abroad, she continues to impress fans with her consistency, balance, and glow — proving that true beauty comes from mindful habits, not harsh restrictions.
