Kang Daniel Is Determined In Pursuing Legal Action Against Malicious Comments
Kang Daniel is currently on his 4th round of suing malicious comments with his company, Konnect Entertainment. The agency released an official statement to address the issue.
The company started off by reminding people that they had already been pursuing legal action regarding such matters since earlier this year. And there has been some progress.
We have alerted fans before that on the 24th of July 2020, we underwent a 3rd round of lawsuits for malicious posts with the Seoul Central Prosecutions’ Office. The lawsuits that had been received and have already finished deposition, currently undergoing investigation.

However, with the release of his new album, MAGENTA, it seems that malicious comments have also gotten worse. The agency will be taking strong action against the haters and will demand compensation.
We had posted warnings and requests for deletion as there were increased posts including ones that slandered, spread false rumors and other such malicious behaviors.
As the level of malicious posts increased to a point where we are unable to simply sit back and watch, we pursued a 4th round of lawsuits on September 10.
We are planning to make them take responsibility for their malicious posts via compensation for damage and other means.

The company requests for fans to cooperate by sending related evidence and to continue showing their continued support towards Kang Daniel.

Konnect Entertainment wishes to thank fans for their support and love towards our artist, Kang Daniel.
In order to prevent our artist, Kang Daniel, from receiving damages to his reputation and slander, and other malicious online posts, we have been working with a professional legal team, Lee Woo, since April this year to run a clean internet center.
We have alerted fans before that on the 24th of July 2020, we underwent a 3rd round of lawsuits for malicious posts with the Seoul Central Prosecutions’ Office. The lawsuits that had been received then have already finished deposition and are currently undergoing investigation.
On the other hand, on August 3rd, 2020, Kang Daniel’s album, MAGENTA was released and we put in more effort for the month in monitoring the clean internet center. We had posted warnings and requests for deletion as there were increased posts including ones that slandered, spread false rumors and other such malicious behaviours. As the level of malicious posts increased to a point where we are unable to simply sit back and watch, on the 10th of September, we pursued a 4th round of lawsuits.
We are planning on making them take responsibility for their malicious posts via compensation for damage and other means.
If the malicious posts towards our artist does not subside, the company will be continuously be monitoring the situation and proceeding with lawsuits in order to deal with this strongly. We request the continued tip-offs and support from fans as well.
