“A Killer Paradox” Stars Choi Woo Shik And Son Suk Ku Shock Netizens With Their Sexy English

Their accents are so hot.

Netflix‘s new original K-Drama A Killer Paradox (also known as Murder DIEary) is soon releasing. It will premiere on February 9.

When one accidental killing leads to another, an average college student finds himself stuck in an endless cat-and-mouse chase with a shrewd detective who will stop at nothing to capture him.

The anticipated Black comedy-thriller follows college student Lee Tang (also romanized as Yi Tang), played by Choi Woo Shik, and detective Jang Nan Gam, played by Son Suk Ku (also known as Son Seok Koo). It is based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name by Kkomabi.

Recently, Netflix K-content released a new video for its English-speaking viewers. While most Netflix K-Drama actors usually do a brief greeting in English, Son Suk Ku and Choi Woo Shik did an entire video, flexing their sexy English skills.

Netflix posted the video across all its social media channels. It went viral on Instagram and X with 522K and 103K views, respectively, at the time of writing. Netizens were in awe of the actors’ fluency. Many confessed their accents were also particularly attractive.

As both actors are known for their roles in Korean films and dramas, some viewers might not realize they are fluent in English. Son Suk Ku was born in Daejeon, South Korea, and studied abroad early in middle school. He studied in both the U.S. and Canada, ultimately majoring in visual arts and film at the School of Art Institute of Chicago as an aspiring documentary director.

Similarly, Choi Woo Sik was born in Seoul, South Korea, but migrated to Vancouver, Canada, with his family when he was just ten. He lived the next ten years as Edward Choi (also known as Eddie). While attending Simon Fraser University in 2010, the 20-year-old received permission from his parents to go to South Korea to audition for acting.

Now, both Son Suk Ku and Choi Woo Shik are famous actors in South Korea, so we rarely hear them speak in English, although they’re fluent. Choi Woo Shik speaks some English in Jinny’s Kitchen and Bong Joon Ho film Okja.

You can also hear more of Son Suk Ku’s English in Big Bet and briefly in Suits.

A Killer Paradox will be available to stream internationally via Netflix on February 9.
