On the latest episode of You Quiz on the Block, actress Kim Tae Hee got candid about her relationship with husband Rain and finally revealed the moment she fell for him.

Although the two first met in 2012 during a CF shoot, Kim Tae Hee confessed it wasn’t love at first sight.

“We didn’t instantly fall for each other. Of course, I respected how hardworking and popular he was, but there weren’t any sparks right away.”

Instead, it was Rain’s subtle gestures that slowly broke down her walls. He would gift her simple, thoughtful things like candles and an MP3 filled with music. But the real turning point came when he gave her a novel.

“One day, when I was having a rough time, I finally opened the book. On the very first page, he had written a long handwritten letter. It wasn’t anything dramatic, but it made me laugh when I was feeling heavy-hearted. That’s when I was disarmed.”

For the first time ever, she texted him first — something she said she never did before.

“I usually only replied when he contacted me. But after that letter, I sent him a message. I don’t remember what exactly, maybe just a casual hello.”

Co-host Jo Se Ho teased that Rain remembers it differently — claiming she asked him out for a meal. The actress also briefly mentioned her daughters’ looks, saying the girls inherited different features from both parents.
