Actress Casually Shows Off Her $20M Building In Seoul’s Priciest Neighborhood

Actress Ko So Young (also known as Go So Young), married to fellow actor Jang Dong Gun, shocked her YouTube viewers as she casually flaunted her real estate in Seoul’s Hannam-dong, now estimated at about ₩30.0 billion KRW (about $20.7 million USD).

In her new video, shared on January 23, 2026 (KST), the actress took herself on a “date” around Hannam-dong, noting, “There are so many interesting spots in the backstreets of Hannam-dong. When I’m burnt out and want to see new ideas or things, I often come here for market research.”

To the viewer, though, the most interesting spot turned out to be Ko So Young’s property.

While walking, the actress passed by her building, commenting, “Oh, my building looks great. Isn’t it the prettiest one here?” Pointing out the “European-style design” of it, Ko So Young noted that the building has been very profitable for her.

The building, located in the affluent neighborhood of Hannam-dong, was originally purchased by Ko So Young’s husband, Jang Dong Gun, in June 2011 for ₩12.6 billion KRW (about $8.71 million USD). At the time, Jang Dong Gun closed the deal for about ₩4.15 billion KRW (about $2.87 million USD) above market price.  However, after the luxury residential complex Nine One Hannam went up in 2019, the neighborhood saw a significant surge in property values, driving up rental prices and boosting the estimated market value of the building to around ₩30.0 billion KRW (about $20.7 million USD), resulting in a 14-year appreciation of approximately ₩17.4 billion KRW (about $12.0 million USD).
