It seems that after all the controversies that have been surrounding Wu Yifan (Kris) and Luhan lately, Korean netizens have started to respond negatively to the former EXO-M members.
Luhan and Kris were set to participate in CCTV’s New Year’s Gala and were even spotted attending rehearsals together, but it was later announced that the two singers would be edited out of the program.
On February 14th, Luhan posted on his Weibo in response to the news, saying, “I was happy that I was even able to be on stage for rehearsal. It’s true that I was disappointed that I was not able to stay and I feel sorry that I’m only giving troublesome news. I am thankful for the experience I have gone through and the experiences yet to come. I will work harder from now on. I believe our future will be brighter than it is now. Watch CCTV with your family on Lunar New Year’s Eve.”
Local medias reported on the issue stating that “The quarrel between Luhan, Kris and SM Entertainment deepened and CCTV felt that they may be held accountable after Luhan and Kris made an appearance. Thus, they made such a decision.”
Korean netizens however, were not amused by his status; in fact, many of them actually cheered on SM Entertainment in their actions against the two. Some netizens took things a step further and referred to Kris and Luhan as “pigeons,” referring to the fact that they have taken what they wanted and then flew away.
Examples of responses to Korean netizens on Luhan’s Weibo status include comments such as, “For the first time in a while I like what SM is doing ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Fix the pigeons’ profiles quickly too,” “You got what you deserved,” and “Why don’t you think about the troubles you caused for the other members? tsktsk.”
