Krystal Jung Announces Long-Awaited Solo Debut Date
Former f(x) member and actress Krystal Jung is officially returning to her roots as a singer.
According to Maeil Business Star Today on October 20, Krystal will release her first-ever solo album on October 24. The project is reportedly a full-length studio album, marking the culmination of her musical talents.
Krystal recently hinted at the comeback herself by uploading photos from a recording studio on social media. Having debuted in 2009 as a member of f(x), she stepped away from the stage in 2016 and has only been active as an actress since then.
This release marks her official solo debut—16 years after her original debut with f(x). Krystal has openly expressed her desire to return to music in past interviews. Last year, she signed with Beasts and Natives, a company specializing in music and performance production, signaling her renewed focus on her singing career.
Industry insiders have noted that, as an idol trained under SM Entertainment, her vocal ability is already well-proven. Fans and critics alike are eager to see how brightly Krystal will shine as a solo artist under her own name.
