LE SSERAFIM’s Deepfake Creators Face Intense Crackdown
In recent months, the K-pop industry has faced growing cybercrimes involving deepfake videos of idols, and popular girl groups, including LE SSERAFIM, were among the most commonly targeted ones in these crimes.

The agency was collecting evidence through internal monitoring efforts, as well as through fan tip-offs, to track these illegal activities. On December 29, KST, the company issued an update on Weverse, informing fans that their efforts had resulted in one deepfake creator being sentenced to prison.
