LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha Had “No Choice” But To Do An Insanely Difficult Dance Move, But She Has No Regrets
LE SSERAFIM‘s Kazuha has been making waves with her charming personality, innate elegance, and—of course—her past as a professional ballet dancer. It isn’t often there is a K-Pop idol who has the same background as her, and her company made full use of it by incorporating ballet moves in the group’s choreographies.
One such move that wowed all fans was the part in “ANTIFRAGILE” where she raises one leg high in the air and catches it with her hand. Not only is it unique, it suits her perfectly.
But what happens when she’s holding a microphone and can’t catch her leg? Simple: she uses no hands! That’s exactly what she did in a recent university festival performance.
It was insanely difficult because she needed to use a lot of strength and precision to pull the move off.
In an interview with Weverse Magazine, the Japanese singer talked about the move and shared her opinion on it. The topic was brought up when she was asked about how exercise and ballet lead to a solid core.
I saw a YouTube video where we performed ‘ANTIFRAGILE’ for a university festival and I didn’t have to hold my legs with my hands for the, ‘Don’t forget my pointe shoes I left behind, what more must be said,’ part.

The “Blue Flame” singer explained that on the day of the performance, she quickly realized that she really wouldn’t have been able to use her hands for the part.
However, it luckily turned out better than she had expected! Contrary to her expectations, she learned that it was possible to achieve as long as she tried hard. It helped that she used to do it often as a ballerina and still remembered how to do it.
It may have been a difficult dance move, but she had no regrets afterwards.
I had the microphone in my hand, so I wouldn’t have been able to use my hands for that part anyway. I realized I had no choice but to do it without using my hands but it actually turned out better than I expected. I realized I could do it if I just tried hard. (laughs) I think I was already used to it because I did that kind of move a lot when I was doing ballet.
