LE SSERAFIM Sakura And Chaewon’s Waist Measurements May Be The Tiniest In K-Pop
Recently appearing on MBC’s popular Omniscient Interfering View to promote their new comeback, “Easy,” LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura and leader Chaewon left the show’s hosts in utter shock when they revealed their tiny waist measurements — which might be the smallest out there.
All of the LE SSERAFIM members are known for their lithe and slim figures, with fans often remarking that both Chaewon and Sakura have “ant waists.” That being said, no one could have prepared for just how small their waists really are.
In the past, Sakura has avoided talking about her measurements directly. When she appeared on M2’s YouTube show Tingling ASMR, she described her weight as equal to around 25 apples rather than stating the number directly. This time, however, both she and Chaewon have divulged the results of their most recent measurements.
When host Song Eun Yi asked their pair about their waist sizes in a conversation about styling, the members thought for a moment before giving the same answer: both of their recent measurements were just 17 inches!
The hosts were so shocked at the answer, they fell backward in surprise. While Chaewon quickly clarified that the measurements had been taken when they hadn’t eaten, the number still potentially gives both stars some of the tiniest waists in K-Pop.
Even idols who are known for their small waists have generally given bigger figures. BLACKPINK’s Rosé, for example, was once rumored to have a 19-inch waist, but she later confirmed that the real number was 24 inches. Former Apink’s Son Naeun, meanwhile, had a waist measurement of 22 inches back in 2017.
All in all, it’s rare to see idols with waists as small as Chaewon and Sakura’s. In a 2017 episode of Weekly Idol, PRISTIN Yuha’s waist was measured at just 16.6 inches at its smallest, beating AOA Mina’s record of 17.9 inches. However, neither of the former stars is currently active as an idol.
So, it’s no surprise that the clip of the LE SSERAFIM members’ 17-inch waists quickly went viral on the internet, reaching over 40,000 views in an hour on TheQoo.

Both Korean and international fans expressed as much shock as the hosts, with many Korean netizens remarking that even elementary school students have bigger waist measurements.

It’s hard to imagine how the pair could possibly be so tiny, though both are on the shorter side at 5 feet 4 inches (163cm) in height. But, Chaewon did give a glimpse into how she works on her figure in an interview with W Korea last year.
