Beloved “We Got Married” Couple Reunites, Only To Spark Criticism Over Their Interaction
In the latest episode of T-ARA member Hahm Eunjung (or Ham Eun Jung)’s YouTube channel, the K-Pop idol reunited with her “husband,” actor Lee Jang Woo, from her We Got Married era back in 2011.

Playfully titled “We Got Married (Separately),” the video showed Hahm Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo talking about their upcoming weddings, as Lee Jang Woo is getting married to fellow actress Cho Hye Won on November 23 and Hahm Eunjung is set to tie the knot with director Kim Byung Woo on November 30.

At one point, Lee Jang Woo commented on how shocked he was to find out about Hahm Eunjung. He said he first heard about the wedding from his mom, and for some reason, he was so sure it was a rumor.

I saw the article and was really surprised. My mom told me you were getting married. I said, ‘No way, she’s busy filming her K-Drama. What do you mean she’s getting married?’ But it turned out to be true. I couldn’t picture the two of you together at first. I thought, ‘This must be an overblown rumor.’

Then he added a few more things that ultimately offended the viewers.

Lee Jang Woo: I even talked to you about it, remember? I was like, unless you got knocked up, the timing didn’t make sense. Even when I called you to ask and you said no, I doubted it for a long while.
Hahm Eunjung: Well, that blessing hasn’t come to me just yet.
Lee Jang Woo: But yeah, getting married is such a great decision. After 20 years in the industry, it’s time to wrap things up and do something good for the country. Have a lot of kids.
Hahm Eunjung: For the country? Why are you suddenly getting all patriotic?
Viewers were uncomfortable with Lee Jang Woo’s remarks deemed rude. Many felt that even as a joke, bringing up things like premarital pregnancy was inappropriate. Others argued that Hahm Eunjung must have been fine with it since the footage was left unedited.

- “Sigh…”
- “I’m not surprised, though. LOL.”
- “He’s so rude…”
- “…? Even if it was all for entertainment, wasn’t he a bit rude? I stopped watching after a bit, but I recall him mentioning that he’s a fan of the director. So… How come he’s making a comment like that?”
- “I watched the whole video, and I could tell he said it because he was comfortable enough about their friendship. Stop nitpicking every single thing that celebrities say. If Hahm Eunjung was not cool with what was said, she would’ve edited it out. It’s her channel after all. The two seemed to have had a good time. We need to stop the commentary.”
- “Not surprising to me.”
- “Is he out of his f*cking mind?”
- “What a terrible way to be speaking to her…”
- “If it was supposed to be just a little joke between them two, then it shouldn’t have been included in the video to be uploaded for everyone to see.”
- “I’m sure his intention wasn’t malicious, but… He needs to work on choosing his words more carefully when he’s on camera and not ‘off the record.'”
