Lee Jong Suk Is Still Serving His Military Duty, But Already Has His Comeback Work Set

Lee Jong Suk is almost back.

Lee Jong Suk won’t be out of the military for another month, but he already has his comeback work lined up with movie The Witch: Part 2.

According to an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports, Lee Jong Suk has decided to choose the movie The Witch: Part 2 as one of his comeback works following his mandatory military service. Lee Jong Suk will be discharged from the military on December 31, and will jump straight back into acting, with this first role being a special appearance in The Witch: Part 2. He is not likely to have a main role in the movie.

Lee Jong Suk will continue his relationship with the director of The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, even though he did not appear in the first movie. He was planned to make an appearance in the first movie, but ultimately was unable to participate due to his mandatory military service. However, his military enlistment date ended up getting delayed past the release date of The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.

I thought we would be able to work on a good plot together, so it’s a shame. I wasn’t able to take hold of The Witch Part 1 because my military enlistment wasn’t finalized. After the delay, I was in a situation where I wanted to say I can participate, but the situation itself was too unclear.

The Witch: Part 2 will be the second meeting between Lee Jong Suk and director Park Hoon Jung, as they worked together on 2017 movie V.I.P. The Witch: Part 2 is the sequel to the successful The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, which tells the story of a girl who escapes a mysterious laboratory and ends up living a seemingly normal childhood. Her life changes as she discovers she is the creation of one of the experiments at that laboratory. The casting for other roles in the movie are still undecided.
