K-Drama power couple Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung are once again in the spotlight — but this time, for a much more alarming reason.
Lee Min Jung recently revealed on her YouTube channel that their Los Angeles home was broken into last year in a burglary that shook her family.
“Nothing happened this year, but last year someone actually broke into our house. It’s not something I could hide — it even made the news. Thankfully, there wasn’t major damage, but one of our drawers was broken.”
The break-in reportedly took place while her husband, actor Lee Byung Hun, was away. At the time, U.S. outlet TMZ had also reported on the robbery, stating that burglars shattered a sliding glass door to enter the property. Lee’s agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed the incident, assuring fans that there were no significant losses.
Local authorities suspected the crime was part of a larger pattern of burglaries targeting wealthy neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Nearby, the home of actress Lena Waithe was also broken into, with over $200,000 USD in jewelry reportedly stolen.
Lee Min Jung shared that after the incident, the couple took extra security measures, installing steel-like shutters to reinforce the home. She also discussed growing safety concerns in cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles, noting the increase in petty crime and burglaries.
Fans expressed concern and sympathy online, while many praised the actress for her composed response and transparency. The couple, known for their elegance both on- and off-screen, have not issued any additional statement since the video’s release.
