Girl Group Member Says She Was Forced To Look Stupid On TV Show

In her latest YouTube video, Lovelyz‘s Lee Mijoo revealed she was a victim of “evil editing” while starring on the beloved show, Hangout With Yoo. The video, “Lee Mijoo Applies For Devil’s Plan 3,” showed the girl group member and TV star trying different games to test her knowledge.

When the production staff asked if her “ditzy” character on Hangout With Yoo was on purpose, Lee Mijoo said she was going for “a cutesy/silly vibe.” But over time, the show ended up portraying her as ditzy.

Staff: So you’re saying the ‘ditzy’ character was all just a concept?

Lee Mijoo: Right. I wanted to have that kind of a cutesy, silly vibe. But it ended up like I was really dumb. I’m not actually stupid.

Staff: Do you feel wronged about being portrayed as the ditz?

Lee Mijoo: Listen… A lot of things were edited out. There were times when, even though I got the answers right, the production team would go, ‘No, no. We can’t air that.’ That happened more than I could count.

Swearing she is actually a brainiac, Lee Mijoo teased more episodes of her battling it out with her celebrity friends over who’s the smartest of them all!
