MAMAMOO’s Solar Talks About Solo Activities And Reveals Future Plans
In an interview with The Neighbor magazine, MAMAMOO‘s Solar talked about the news of her upcoming comeback, her solo YouTube channel, and her future goals as an artist.
Despite MAMAMOO not having had a comeback since their mini-album Travel in November 2020, Solar has been keeping herself very busy! Outside of MAMAMOO, Solar has released two solo works: the mini-album Solar Emotion, which came in six installations from 2015 to 2018, and the single album Spit It Out in 2020. She has also done multiple OST songs and collaborations with other artists such as Eddy Kim and Super Junior members Heechul, Shindong, and Eunhyuk.
She has also been busy with her personal YouTube channel, solarsido, on which she posts vlogs, mukbangs, workout videos and more.
She is always seeking out new challenges and activities to try, always willing to step out of her comfort zone.
I get excited to try new things, and have the will to do well and the confidence in myself that I can do well, so I can continue to do it!
She also touched upon MAMAMOO renewing their contract with their company, RBW, and took a look back at what they’ve accomplished so far. She has often participated in the writing and composing of both MAMAMOO’s songs and her solo songs, and is planning on continuing to do so in the future: she already has plans for another solo album!
There is still a lot left to go! I don’t think it’s too late to slowly try new things.
MAMAMOO’s upcoming project, WAW, will feature a comeback album, concert, and documentary, to be released in June. We’re so excited to see what Solar and her members have in store for us next!
