Min Hee Jin Lets Out Her Plans For Launching A New K-Pop Group
Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin revealed her detailed plan for her new agency, including the kind of group she is aiming to launch next.

On December 4, KST, Min appeared on the YouTube channel Genre Yeouido and shared these future plans. She mentioned that going through the turbulent conflict with HYBE has changed her outlook toward her work, pushing her to become someone who can finally see the value in what she does.

Addressing her ambition to run a label of her own, Min mentioned that she wanted to introduce a new kind of entertainment management model, which would include shorter contract periods.
You should work together because you want to work together. The standard contract still has many loopholes. It’s a contract made from the employer’s perspective. Many young kids and even parents, who don’t know much, end up signing because they want to become idols. The people who made the standard contract don’t really understand the actual field. I want to propose improvements to the standard contract from the perspective of real-world practice.

She continued, saying that her intention behind wanting her own label was not “simply about making money,” adding that she wants to create an ecosystem where both the artist and the labels are necessary to one another instead of being forcefully tied through long-term contracts. Despite her clear ideas, Min also expressed her skepticism about them, saying, “At this point of modernization and paradigm shift, I sometimes wonder if this ridiculous fight I’m in is part of that.” However, she mentioned that she wanted to take on such challenging situations.
Min Hee Jin also shared her desired career trajectory, revealing that she would not be producing a girl group next.
I don’t think I’ll be making a girl group next. Maybe someday, but not right now. If I do anything next, it’ll be a boy group. That’s originally my style. Once the boy group comes out, a girl group could follow.

The former ADOR CEO concluded by saying that she was confident about her ideas starting something new in the industry. “I see the gaps and empty spaces in this market, and I think filling them could create an interesting impact,” she added.
Netizens have reacted positively to Min’s revelation and shown faith in her vision.

- “Either way, it seems like it’ll do well. Just looking at the comments here, the buzz is definitely guaranteed, and shortening contract periods is something that’s definitely needed.”
- “I’m curious.”
- “Yeah, even if charts in Korea don’t acknowledge them, they could still get a lot of investment from places like China or Southeast Asia and do well locally there.”
- “Looking forward to a Min Hee Jin–style boy group.”
- “Sigh… I already feel bad for the kids—wonder how much she’ll be ignoring their KakaoTalk messages.”
