“I Am” is hard to sing, with high notes throughout the song—from Liz‘s pre-chorus to the chorus dropping with the lyrics, “That’s my life.” An Yujin even went viral for her outstanding vocals while performing the song.

The song’s difficulty was even verified by the singer of one of Korea’s most popular Karaoke songs featuring the same high note.

Recently, NCT‘s Doyoung surprised netizens with his cover of “I Am.”

NCT DoJaeJung — made up of Doyoung, Jaehyung, and Jungwoo — debuted a little more than a month ago, impressing fans and non-fans with their lead track “Perfume.”

During their promotions, they recorded for the MusicCore segment Conodoll, where idols will perform songs in a karaoke booth. They first covered Oh Hyuk‘s “Little Girl” before Doyoung began IVE’s “I Am.” (“Little Girl” begins at 0:34, “I Am” begins at 2:27)

Doyoung sang most of the song, impressively hitting even the highest notes! Fans spread the clips online, where many raved about his talents, as well as Jaehyun‘s, who also sang portions of the song.

Korean netizens couldn’t help but praise the star as well, with many saying how impressive it is he was able to go so high as a man.
