NCT’s Jaehyun Confirmed For New Drama, “Dear. M” – All We Know About The Drama So Far
NCT‘s Jaehyun has been confirmed for a new drama, Dear.M. Last month, it was teased that he had been cast for the drama by Playlist Studio, the brains behind many successful teen webseries including Eighteen and Love Playlist. On the 3rd of September, it was confirmed that he had accepted the role.
Jaehyun will be playing Cha Min Ho, a second year college student in computer engineering. He comes up with an idea and develops an app, proving his skills in his field. Min Ho is described as a free spirit who embodies the charm of youth, and is friendly and gutsy to boot. He is best friends with the character played by actress Park Hye Soo.
Other cast includes Kim Sae Ron and Bae Hyun Sung, who were both introduced in Love Playlist 4. They will be set to return to the show. Dear.M has been reported to not be a part of the Love Playlist season franchise, but will be a spin-off contained in the same fictional drama-verse of Seoyeon High and University.
Many are anticipating his foray into acting, especially in a youth drama. Dear.M is set to broadcast in the earlier half of 2021 on KBS2 TV. It is about anonymous online presence, M, who posts on a school community board, turning the school upside down as students try to uncover his identity.
