The K-Drama is loosely based on the 1868 novel of the same name by Louisa May Alcott. The show stars actresses Kim Go Eun, Nam Ji Hyun, and Park Ji Hu as three sisters who have grown up poor due to family circumstances but get involved in a rich family after money goes missing.

The series depicts the story of three poor sisters who are close, their involvement in the case of 70 billion won going missing, and how they bravely face Korea’s richest family.

With Squid Game‘s Wi Ha Joon in a supporting role and with Vincenzo‘s Kim Hee Won as the director, this show is turning out to be an outstanding thriller.

Wi Ha Joon has stolen the show alongside Kim Go Eun due to their onscreen chemistry. Episode 7 and Episode 8 especially have fans wanting their characters to end up together despite the K-Drama not being a romance.

Wi Ha Joon portrays Choi Do Il, a mysterious man who becomes involved with Oh In Joo (Kim Go Eun) following the death of her friend and coworker Jin Hwa Young (Choo Ja Hyun). He also works for antagonistic politician Park Jae Sang (Um Ki Joon).

Considering his complicated relationship with all the characters, it’s hard for everyone to trust Choi Do Il. Still, he and Oh In Joo have developed a deal for them to share the ₩70.0 billion KRW (about $49.0 million USD).

In Episode 8, the two traveled to Singapore to withdraw the money. But In Joo doesn’t know that Jin Hwa Young challenged Choi Do Il to kill her. So, viewers are curious about where his loyalty truly lies throughout the episode.

Yet, when Choi Do Il and Oh In Joo arrive in Singapore, they get a strange welcome as they find out that someone is allegedly walking around not only with her name but also her face. So, Oh In Joo begins to wonder if her friend is alive.

Later in the episode, Oh In Joo runs away from Choi Do Il after receiving a note she believes is from Hwa Young. His response and the result of her actions has viewers’ trust restored in him.

So, with all that has happened over the past few episodes between the two, from their meeting to making a deal and now the trip to Singapore, viewers are shipping them more than ever.

All throughout Episode 8, viewers couldn’t deny the onscreen chemistry between Wi Ha Joon and Kim Go Eun, although his character is supposed to kill hers. Yet, that only makes their tension even fiercer.

There are also so many cute moments between the unofficial couple in this episode alone. Many viewers even suggested they looked like a married couple!

We’re convinced too. Just look at them.

And the way he looks at her is with such admiration. That’s certainly not the face of a man who intends to kill her but rather protect her. Right?

Honestly, the scene leading up to the auction is giving total rom-com vibes. Pretty Woman, anyone?

Viewers are absolutely thriving off the crumbs of these characters’ relationship. Will they, won’t they?

While the fate of Choi Do Il and Oh In Joo are uncertain right now, viewers are already hoping that Wi Ha Joon and Kim Go Eun will be cast as the leads in another K-Drama soon. Specifically, they need them in a rom-com where we get even more cute moments!

Considering the actors’ offscreen chemistry, it’s no surprise they appear so great onscreen together. This only makes it even more reason for a rom-com to happen.
