In 2023, EXO-CBX shocked everyone when they announced their plans to sue SM Entertainment in order to terminate their long contracts with the company. Media reported that they had been meeting with MC Mong, who was said to be involved with BPM Entertainment as a higher up. MC Mong was accused of leading EXO-CBX to file their lawsuit SM Entertainment then sent legal documents to BPM Entertainment, accusing them of trying to poach EXO-CBX. Ultimately, EXO-CBX and SM Entertainment decided to continue their contract, resolving their misunderstandings.
