Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon recently performed in Korea for her solo concert, and netizens are shocked after seeing a former SM Entertainment idol in attendance.

On June 3 and 4, Taeyeon performed in Korea for her anticipated The ODD Of Love tour.

While the idol wowed netizens with her talent and visuals, the concerts also gained attention from netizens for the audience, which was full of celebrities. While many weren’t surprised that members of Girls’ Generation attended…

There were also idols such as SHINee, SEVENTEEN, IVE, and many more.

Amongst the star-studded audience that attended Taeyeon’s concert, one person particularly shocked fans with his presence, and it was none other than K-Pop idol Kim Jaejoong.

In videos and photos shared from the concert, Jaejoong was seen enjoying the concert.

While the event was attended by idols from many groups and companies, the reason Jaejoong’s attendance was so shocking was that he was a former member of SM Entertainment‘s TVXQ.

After Jaejoong and two other members had their contracts terminated, after starting an investigation over their unfair treatment, they suffered for many more years because of being blacklisted in Korea. Even though they re-debuted as JYJ, it still seemed like SM had some hold on them.

When the videos and pictures were shared, netizens couldn’t get over how excited they were to see Jaejoong at a concert for an SM idol.

Yet, while many fans were shocked, others shared that it’s not the first time Jaejoong has shared support or interactions with his former SM Entertainment artists.

Even on Reddit, a top post on one of the forums gained a lot of attention, with many saying how big of a deal it felt, especially after everything that has happened with SM and members of EXO.

Taeyeon definitely showcased her influence with the audience, but Jaejoong’s appearance particularly excited fans because of the issues with Jaejoong and SM Entertainment following his contract termination.
