Park Na Rae Refuses To Settle Ongoing Court Case Despite Perpetrator Pleading Guilty
Comedian Park Na Rae has reportedly refused to settle her ongoing court case.

On January 29, KST, the Seoul Western District Court’s 2-1 Criminal Division held an appellate trial for a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. Jung, who was indicted on charges of theft and nighttime residential burglary. In April last year, Jung broke into Park Na Rae’s home and stole valuables worth tens of millions of won.
On this day, Mr. Jung appeared in court wearing a prison uniform and pleaded for leniency. The court mentioned that he had admitted to all his charges and didn’t want his legal representatives to contest them anymore. His representatives also reported that Jung had tried to reach a settlement with Park’s team, but the offer of compensation was rejected.
In his final statement, Jung apologized for his crime and promised to do his best to return the stolen items to Park Na Rae. He also mentioned that he had compensated all those who were unfairly punished for buying stolen goods from him.
Jung pleaded for leniency, stating that he wanted to compensate the rest of the victims by returning to society and earning money honestly.
Interestingly, Jung had been arrested once before, in late March of last year, for committing theft at another residence in Yongsan. Despite being sentenced to two years in prison in the first trial, he had appealed the verdict.
Meanwhile, Park Na Rae is currently embroiled in a massive controversy over alleged power abuse and receiving illegal medical care. Read about the latest developments on the case here:
