Park Na Rae’s “Vulgar” Drinking Rules Resurface As Her Scandal Continues To Escalate

These rules were for guests drinking at her home, known as “Na Rae Bar.”

Amid the growing scandals surrounding comedian Park Na Rae—from her mistreating her managers to seeking medical treatment from an unlicensed individual—her past comments about the rules she set for guests drinking at her place have resurfaced, further highlighting her “drinking problem” and related behavior.

Park Na Rae’s Drunk Photos Resurface, Triggering Even More Backlash

In a 2017 episode of Life Bar, a tvN show where celebrities got together to drink and chat, Park Na Rae talked about how she ran “Na Rae Bar.”  Na Rae Bar was a nickname given to her home after she revealed the space on I Live Alone. Park Na Rae was never shy about showing off the “bar” area in her home, which was dedicated to hosting drinking parties for her friends. And so, at the time, Na Rae Bar became a “hot spot” that celebrities wanted to be invited to.

But the “rules” that the comedian herself said she had in place for the guests are now being deemed questionable and even “vulgar,” as her multiple scandals have revealed the alleged behind-the-scenes horrors from her home.

Park Na Rae noted that, for one, everyone must drink. Her three goals were to either “make someone drink to the end,” meaning she wanted at least one of her guests to get absolutely wasted, or “make two people drink and go to the end,” hinting she was also open to setting her guests up. It is now assumed that for this reason, Park Na Rae said she always invited the same number of men and women. Park Na Rae also noted that there were no cellphones allowed at Na Rae Bar, and so, “whatever happens at Na Rae Bar stays at Na Rae Bar.”

These rules, when the Life Bar episode aired, weren’t debated much. But especially since Park Na Rae’s former managers have since alleged that she exploited them for these drinking parties (making them prepare the snacks, set up/clean up after, and even drink or abuse them for refusing to drink), netizens are now questioning them.

Some voiced concerns with Park Na Rae forcing people to drink to their limits while others had issues with her providing space for hookups and messy mistakes. All in all, netizens were disappointed in Park Na Rae for hosting these drinking parties at the expense of her managers.

  • “I don’t care if she hosts drinking parties and people hook up or whatever, as long as it’s not illegal. But thinking about how she made her managers handle all the cleanup is 🤮”
  • “So she basically ran a hookup bar?”
  • “I never liked her, but I didn’t think she’d be this vulgar.”
  • “I mean, at this point, it’s hard not to see the celebrities who said they frequent Na Rae Bar as the same type. The managers said they had to clean up after all their drinking. How are people supposed to see that in a positive way?”
  • “I hated this back when it aired. I would hope and hope that the actors or singers I like wouldn’t go there. I mean, it always felt like something that would blow up eventually.”
  • “Isn’t that basically a nightclub?”

  • “I really hate this.”
  • “The fact that she talked about that proudly is so off-putting…”
  • “This is so f*cking toxic.”
  • “My favorite actor went once and said he’d never go again.”

  • “So she was basically running a celebrity-only hookup bar.”
