Popular Actor Reported To Police For Domestic Violence Against Wife

According to police, a popular Korean actor was recently reported for alleged domestic violence against his wife at their home in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.

According to reports on August 14, KST, the actor, referred to as “A,” allegedly got into a heated argument and a subsequent physical fight with his wife, “B.” Reports indicate that during the fight, A tried to leave the scene but was blocked by his wife, which led to a scuffle. The incident occurred on July 24.

As the confrontation turned physical, a 112 emergency call was made, and police arrived at the scene shortly after. Following an investigation, the police determined the case to be a domestic protection case rather than a criminal one, since B made it clear that she didn’t want to press charges.

Though the police confirmed the domestic violence report to the media, they refused to divulge more details.

However, reports hinted at the actor’s identity, revealing that he is in his 40s and a popular face who has appeared in various movies and dramas, including a box office hit with 10 million viewership. As netizens began trying to figure out which actor fit the profile, Lee Jee Hoon‘s name started popping up online. He was a supporting actor in The Outlaws, the 2017 hit movie that recorded 10 million views, which cemented the speculations.

Shortly after, Y.one Entertainment, Lee’s agency, confirmed that the actor in the reports was indeed him. They also clarified that the police reports confirmed that the matter was not serious and that the scuffle didn’t escalate to the point of an assault.
