Soyou shared the story on the Lee Changsub & Jeo Changsub YouTube channel during a video showing off her Hannam-dong villa, which rents for ₩13 million a month. She confirmed she’s leaving but wouldn’t say where she’s going next.

The reason I can’t say is because a sasaeng fan came to my house recently. They came right up to my door and I was absolutely terrified.

The girl group star ran into the stalker when she was with a friend. After a brief conversation, they apologized and left. But that was hardly the end of it.

Luckily, I was with a friend at the time. The person asked, ‘Is this Jihyun’s place?’ I saw their face and had no idea who they were. My friend didn’t say ‘no’  she said ‘Jihyun?’ And then the person said, ‘Oh, isn’t this Soyou’s place?’

They just kept saying ‘Soyou?’ over and over. Then they said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, I think I got the wrong place.’

The fan had driven to her building, given a fake unit number to get past security, then walked the halls, knocking on doors, asking if it was Soyou’s place.  She only pieced it all together after calling security herself.

I immediately called security and asked if anyone had come in. They said no one had come in on foot. I naturally assumed they had walked, but it turned out they had driven. They had given a different building number to get in, and since they didn’t know my unit number, they had been going around asking everyone, ‘Is this Soyou’s place?’

Soyou revealed that, ever since, she has suffered even from just hearing the doorbell ring. The incident left her shaken in her own home, the one place you’re supposed to feel safe.

Ever since then, I hadn’t ordered anything, but I started having a breakdown every time the doorbell rang. That’s why I can’t reveal where I’m moving to now.
