Rookie Idol’s Reaction To Airport Mob Sparks Heavily Divided Responses
Idols getting mobbed at airports is getting scarily common, despite many voicing their discomfort with it. Recently, a rookie male idol reacted strongly in a similar situation, sparking a heated debate online.
The artist in question is Keonho from BIGHIT MUSIC’s newest boy group, CORTIS.
Recently, when the group arrived in Korea after an overseas schedule, clips of Keonho getting mobbed at the airport surfaced on the internet. The crows were seen pulling him, and at one point, his bag and his shoes fell out on the ground. The security personnel rushed him to the car and fetched his shoes later.

During this dangerous situation, Keonho reacted strongly to the crowd pulling at him, and some clips of his agitated expression started going viral online.
Some claimed that he was “swearing” at his fans, harshly criticizing him for his attitude.
- “If a female idol had behaved like that, she would’ve been ripped apart. He survived because he is a flop male idol.”
- “He was like that during the aespa thing, too, and even on his livestream. He read the comments and kind of laughed to himself in a way that seemed annoyed. He seems like the type who can’t hide his facial expressions… Even if he’s still young, he’s the only one in Cortis who’s like that, so it’d be better if he worked on it.”

However, some Korean netizens and international fans defended Keonho fiercely, pointing out how his reaction was justified in the face of such a dangerous situation.
ppl don't see idols as human beings bc keonho who is 16 was just trying to break free from ppl mobbing him and STEALING HIS BELONGINGS and the focus is on whether he insulted them or not? i can't imagine the desperation and overwhelm he must have felt to now be judged for it.
