Seungri and Yang Hyun Suk Officially Charged With Habitual Gambling, Case Sent To Prosecution

They have been charged.

Seungri and Yang Hyun Suk will have their cases forwarded to prosecution with only one charge, habitual gambling.

The crime and intelligence investigation team from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on October 31 that they will be sending the cases of 5 people, including Seungri and Yang Hyun Suk, to prosecution on charges of habitual gambling on November 1.

Police also determined that there was not enough evidence to prove the charges of illegal foreign transactions. Seungri and Yang Hyun Suk were accused of habitual gambling overseas between 2014-2019, due to the statute of limitations. During their investigations, they discovered that Seungri gambled around ₩1 billion KRW ($860,659 USD) and Yang Hyun Suk gambled a little less than this.

Police also have not charged Yang Hyun Suk with using money from YG Entertainment to fund his gambling, stating that they did not find any evidence showing those accusations true.
