SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi Goes Rogue And Introduces Pledis Entertainment’s New Boy Group During “SEVENTEEN In CARAT LAND”

SEVENTEEN’s members were proud sunbaes, even if they weren’t supposed to reveal the new group 😂

SEVENTEEN recently held their seventh Korean fan meeting SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND, and like the six that preceded it, this three-day fan meeting was equally iconic.

The annual event, held this year at the KSPO Dome, was filled with memorable and heartwarming moments as SEVENTEEN was able to spend time with beloved CARATs.

Iconic traditions returned for 2023 CARAT LAND, including Jeonghan‘s sweet tradition of bringing and passing out candy to gift to fans…

… to legendary covers of fellow artists’ songs, including IVE‘s “After LIKE,” TWICE Nayeon‘s “POP!,” NewJeans‘ “Ditto” and “Attention,” BLACKPINK‘s “Pink Venom” and “Shut Down,” BTS Suga‘s “Daechwita,” and more…

… to more emotional moments, like when SEVENTEEN was surprised with letters of support from their parents that left few dry eyes in the KSPO Dome and among CARATs watching the performance virtually.

Along with the fun and emotional moments, there was also expectedly some chaos from the fun-loving members.

SEVENTEEN’s leader S.Coups took matters into his own hands to announce that the group would be making two comebacks in 2023, including one in April, after hilariously receiving instructions to inform fans only on the last day of CARAT LAND.

Following the group leader’s example, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi also hilariously “defied” the company’s instructions and excitedly introduced five trainees in the crowd, announcing that they would be Pledis Entertainment‘s next boy group.

Hoshi reminded them to keep their masks on, and the Pledis Entertainment trainees kept their identities under wraps as they greeted fans for the first time.

As he pointed the future group out in the crowd, his fellow members hilariously called out, “Hoshi may have gotten himself into trouble just now… the CEO probably won’t like this,” while Woozi jokingly added, “Whenever the CEO tells us not to do something, it’s always Choi Seungcheol and Kwon Soonyoung who go out and do those exact things.

The proud moment reminded CARATs of NU’EST‘s 2013 showcase, where they introduced their junior group SEVENTEEN, making the introduction of Pledis Entertainment’s new boy group during CARAT LAND even more meaningful.
