Shin Hae Chul’s limited edition posthumous album sold out
The late Shin Hae Chul’s posthumous best of album, Reboot Yourself, which was released on January 24th, has sold out its physical limited editions.
According to the agency KCA Entertainment on January 25th, the initial 2,350 copies of the album were immediately sold out on the 24th. An additional 2,500 copies were rush ordered, produced, and sold, Reboot Yourself recording a total of 4,850 units sold.
The agency further revealed that originally, only 2,000 copies were supposed to be produced, but due to demand and insufficient amount, another 2,000 were ordered.
Reboot Yourself has a total of four CDs, including Shin Hae Chul’s solo hits and tracks as part of the rock band N.EX.T for a total of 50 tracks. A biography and unpublished photos of were included, as well as a handwritten letter by Shin Hae Chul’s mother.
Shin Hae Chul passed away suddenly on October 27, 2014, and was reported to have died from an hypoxic ischemic brain injury following surgery, which he had never regained conscious from. He had initially gone to the hospital after suffering from a cardiac arrest on October 17, 2014.
