“Single’s Inferno ” Star DEX’s K-Drama Acting Debut Makes History
In January, we reported that Single’s Inferno star DEX (also known as Kim Jin Young), who is signed to broadcasting & media production company kthd studio, was cast as a male lead in a new K-Drama webseries on U+ Mobile called Tarot.
Tarot is a mystery thriller about seven different cases. Each case has its own main character, and the episodes can be viewed as standalone. Each character receives a different tarot card, and their story unfolds. So, DEX might only be in one episode, but he will lead it.
“Tarot” unfolds as a series of seven omniverse horror episodes delving into mysterious events that could be part of anyone’s everyday life, all centered around the theme of tarot cards. The plot kicks off as the main characters each receive different tarot cards, and in that moment, find their destinies cursed by the twisted tarot cards.

Now, an official trailer has been released, giving a first look at DEX and his co-stars in the series.
While he was in it only briefly, fans couldn’t be more excited by what they have seen so far. They’re ecstatic for DEX’s acting debut.

That’s not all. Tarot was also selected as South Korea’s first and only 2024 Cannes International Series Festival Official Invitation to the Short Film Competition. It is officially the first Korean entry into the Cannes Series short film competition.

Prior to appearing as a contestant on Single’s Inferno 2, DEX was a well-known YouTuber/Streamer. He rose to fame and returned for Single’s Inferno 3. Additionally, he has appeared on the survival show Bloody Game, the dating show Love & Joy, Netflix survival show Zombieverse, and the “real variety show” Toy Soldiers: Fake Men 2 (viewers actually could watch it in cinemas in ScreenX and 4DX).
Other Single’s Inferno contestants, Lee So He and Yun Ha Bin, were actors prior to appearing on the hit dating show. Yet, Tarot will mark DEX’s official acting debut. Likewise, fellow Single’s Inferno 2 contestant Shin Seulk Ki recently made her acting debut in a K-Drama. Read more below.
