“Unrecognizable” Idol Says She Actually Likes All The Allegations Made Against Her

In her latest YouTube video, SISTAR member Soyou addressed the recent plastic surgery allegations she faced, putting “the rumors to rest” by revealing her makeup tips that made her look unrecognizable.

The idol first appeared barefaced, confident that her face underneath the makeup had not changed.

After discussing her makeup techniques, including how she does her lips to make them look fuller, Soyou also addressed the hate she got for her “unnatural lips.”

Soyou Addresses Plastic Surgery Accusations After Appearing Unrecognizable

Some people say I got lip fillers, but that’s absolutely not true. I’ve talked about how I make my lips look fuller many times before, and in today’s video, I went over the technique again in case some people didn’t know it.

Once, on one of the programs I went on, another guest quietly asked me, ‘Where did you get your lips done?’ I told them, ‘I didn’t. If I wipe off my makeup, they’re gone,’ and I even showed them. There were also times people left comments saying my lips looked unnatural, but that was just on days I messed up my lip makeup.

The idol remained unshaken by the surge of plastic surgery speculations and pointed out that the hate only reassures her that what she’s doing is working. Soyou highlighted the power of makeup again, saying “transformation can be done” without going under the knife.

These days, there are lots of comments like, ‘She completely redid her face.’ But every time I see them, I feel good, because it just means that my weight loss was successful. When you lose weight, your features stand out more, and especially the eyes can look different depending on makeup…Makeup can completely transform your look—it’s not plastic surgery. I wanted to show that transformation can be done entirely with makeup.

The video, however, has failed to be too convincing. Netizens left behind some comments that called Soyou’s “makeup transformation” claim a complete BS.
