TVXQ’s Yunho Ruled Not Guilty — SM Entertainment Gives Official Statement

His court verdict is out.

TVXQ‘s Yunho had previously been swept up in a scandal when it was reported that he had violated social-distancing measures by gathering in an escort bar with his friends. He has since denied his active participation in the escort bar and claimed that he only visited the location upon invitation from his friend to come and talk and had no idea about the location’s true nature.

On August 2, 2021, SM Entertainment released an official statement regarding the matter. The statement comes after court proceedings regarding the ruling of his violation of the social-distancing measures. The court has since declared him not guilty.

On August 1, 2021, regarding the matter of Yunho violating the social-distancing measures in Seoul city by gathering with friends past 10pm in February, he was declared not guilty. He plans to sincerely fulfil the additional fines afterwards. At that point of time, he first visited the location upon contact from his friend, and he actively cooperated with the investigations that happened after the process of arrest. He has been deeply reflecting on worrying everyone as well as the fans through his careless actions during a time where everyone is having it rough because of COVID-19. He is currently regretting the matter deeply as well. Once again, we sincerely apologize for having concerned many people.
