After reports that Song Hye Gyo and Song Joong Ki have received love calls for Kim Eun Sook’s upcoming new drama The Sun’s Descendant, the two have officially been confirmed to star in the new KBS2 drama.
Both the drama production’s and actors’ agency representatives have positively confirmed their role in the drama, giving high expectations for the filming and upcoming episodes.
With this casting, top actors Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will be aligned with scriptwriter Kin Eun Sook, who is well-known for participating in popular productions such as Lovers In Paris, Secret Garden, Gentleman’s Dignity, The Heirs, and more. Director Lee Eung Bok is also planned to join the production, and boasts past successful dramas such as Dream High and television series Discovery of Love under his belt.
With two years having passed for both Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo since starring in a drama, expectations are high for both stars’ returns in this upcoming production, which will soon coincide with KBS 2TV’s Producer for this spring season.
