Well-Known Actor Says He Now Takes “B.M.W” After His Agency Went Under

In the latest episode of MBN‘s Kim Joo Ha’s Day & Night, actor Song Il Kook appeared as a guest to share the unexpected reason he now often uses public transportation—or walks.

During the episode, host Kim Joo Ha mentioned his pre-interview and said she had heard he had arrived on foot while carrying a backpack. Song’s response immediately caught everyone off guard.

He then turned the moment into a joke, explaining that he now rides the “B.M.W” every day. But rather than the luxury car brand, Song Il Kook clarified that his version of B.M.W stands for “Bus, Metro, Walk.”

The actor also shared that despite being a recognizable public figure, he rarely gets noticed while riding public transportation. When Kim Joo Ha asked if people recognize him because of his towering height and striking appearance, Song Il Kook said it hardly happens.

I mostly take the subway, but people recognizing me happen maybe once every 30 or 40 rides.

Until very recently, I had gained a lot of weight. Back then, even when I walked around without a mask, people didn’t recognize me. But now that I’ve lost some weight, some people recognize me even when I’m wearing a mask.

When Kim Joo Ha jokingly responded that “weight loss is truly the best plastic surgery,” the actor quipped, “Yes, and once the payment comes in, I lose it right away.” His honest and humorous comments drew laughter, with viewers amused by the actor’s down-to-earth update.
