T-ARA Jiyeon’s Husband Makes His “Idol Debut” At Their Wedding And Earns Some Famous Fans
T-ARA‘s Jiyeon married her baseball player husband, Hwang Jae Gyun, in a star-studded private ceremony on December 10.
From videos shared by attendees, including Jiyeon’s fellow T-ARA members, fans caught a glimpse of the fun and heartwarming ceremony, including Hwang Jae Gyun’s “idol debut.”
T-ARA’s Jiyeon surprised fans with a touching announcement in February, announcing her engagement to Hwang Jae Gyun in a handwritten letter posted on her Instagram.
I have a boyfriend whom I met last year through an acquaintance and met with good feelings. In the upcoming winter, I promised to get married to my boyfriend, who is like my life’s gift. He aways puts me first, cherishes me, and shows me what happiness is.
He held me firm and offered his shoulder so I could lean on him during times when I was feeling unstable. I will live a happy and pretty life with my boyfriend.
I am worried that you will be surprised by such sudden news, but I am also nervous writing these words down as I share such happiness with you all.
I will repay the love and support that I have received from my fans by continuously working hard and showing you my best.

The happy couple finally held their ceremony, and it included many 2nd-gen idols such as Jiyeon’s bestie IU, T-ARA’s Qri, Hyomin, and Eunjung, Super Junior‘s Donghae and Siwon, FT Island‘s Lee Hongki and Jaejin, and 3rd-gen superstar BTS‘s Jin.
FT Island’s Lee Hongki and IU performed congratulatory songs for the happy couple, and Hwang Jae Gyun had a surprise of his own when he also took the stage.
Among the many famous idols in the room, Hwang Jae Gyun confidently took the stage and danced to T-ARA’s hit songs “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” “Roly Poly,” and Jiyeon’s solo song “Never Ever.”
The performance had the majority of the audience dancing along in their seats and kept Jiyeon smiling and laughing as he paid homage to his gorgeous wife’s successful career. The fun performance earned the baseball star some famous fans as BTS’s Jin was seen with his phone in the air, catching every moment of the performance while IU enthusiastically cheered for Hwang Jae Gyun’s new talent.
