Actor Park Si Hoo has filed a lawsuit against an individual (hereby referred to as A), for spreading rumors that destroyed a family.
On November 21, the law firm Hyemyeong, which represents Park Si Hoo, explained the lawsuit.
“On November 8, Park Si Hoo filed a criminal complaint against A for writing and distributing malicious false posts on social media, on charges including defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection by stating false facts. An investigation is currently underway. A’s claim that ‘Park Si Hoo introduced another woman to a married man and was involved in the breakdown of a family’ is a clear falsehood and completely baseless.”
They further explained that A had stolen her ex-husband’s phone and edited various messages and photos exchanged with Park Si Hoo, posting them online.
“This all began when A entered her ex-husband’s house after their divorce, stole his mobile phone, and maliciously edited and distorted various chat messages and photo files stored on the device before posting them on social media. The ex-husband has also filed a complaint against A. Recently, the police acknowledged the charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act and other offenses in the case filed by the ex-husband, and sent it to the prosecution. As the posts were based on the same context and materials, it is clear that the charges in the case filed by Park Si Hoo will also be recognized.”
Previously, in August, a female influencer identified as A claimed on her personal account that Park Si Hoo had introduced another woman to her husband, which led to the destruction of her family. In response, her husband countered that he and Park Si Hoo were only hometown seniors and juniors, and that he had never been introduced to any woman by him. He also stated that he had already divorced A six years earlier. The woman, identified by A as her ex-husband’s alleged affair partner, B, also stated that she did not know A at all. Park Si Hoo likewise firmly denied the allegations and announced strong legal action.
