Visual Boy Group Member Confesses Unexpected Insecurity About His Looks
VERIVERY’s member, Yoo Kangmin, has recently opened up about the complicated relationship he’s had with his visuals. He participated in the debut survival reality show, Boys II Planet recently. Although he made it to 9th place, he struggled during the process.
During a candid interview, Kangmin admitted that while many fans and peers have praised his appearance since childhood, the constant focus on his looks created unexpected pressure. The idol confessed that these words led him to doubt himself, making him feel as though his other skills were overlooked or undervalued.
“I think I was scared. From a young age, people always complimented my face, but I heard so often that I lacked in other areas. If I come on the show and fail to do well, then I’ll really become that sort of person. That’s why I was really scared. So I worked hard to try to make up for the things I lacked in.”
