“When Life Gives You Tangerines” Actress Reveals An Unexpected Interaction She Had With Actor Son Suk Ku
In the latest episode of JTBC‘s Knowing Bros, veteran actress Oh Min Ae—now most familiar to K-Drama fans for her role in When Life Gives You Tangerines—shared a heartwarming interaction she had with heartthrob actor Son Suk Ku (Son Seok Gu).
Oh Min Ae and Son Suk Ku starred in Netflix‘s popular K-Drama series D.P. together. While working on the series, Oh Min Ae once caught herself in a difficult situation after wrapping up a shoot late at night.
We were filming at an abandoned military base, and that night, the shoot wrapped way past midnight. I didn’t have an agency at the time, so I didn’t have a vehicle arranged and was struggling to get a taxi.

When she looked to her co-star for help, he offered more than she asked for!
I asked Son Suk Ku to just drop me off somewhere I could catch one. He said he’d drive me and ended up taking me all the way to my home!

To fellow veteran actress Park Joon Geum, who asked about what the two talked about on the ride home, Oh Min Ae even shared that she got his number after sending him some videos of her acting.
Park Joon Geum: What did you talk about in the car?
Oh Min Ae: He said, ‘Sunbaenim, could you send me a few clips of your acting?’ I did and he contacted me the next day.
Park Joon Geum: You mean he gave you his number? Did you exchange numbers?
Oh Min Ae: Of course. We still keep in touch… It feels great that I can brag about this!
Oh Min Ae reiterated what a gentleman Son Suk Ku is and dubbed him “a great guy” all around.
Suk Ku really takes care of the people around him. He’s a great guy.
