Following the official announcement of the Season 3 production—three years after the last season aired—Kim Go Eun was confirmed to reprise her role as the beloved protagonist. Anticipation quickly grew around who would portray Shin Soon Rok, Yumi’s final love interest in the original webtoon.

On May 19, 2025, it was reported that actor Kim Jae Won is set to take on the role of Shin Soon Rok, the new male lead. According to OSEN’s report, the casting decision has been finalized, marking another exciting chapter for the hit series.
